Health Affairs is planning a theme issue in February 2017 that will explore various aspects of work and health, including questions surrounding the broader value of health benefits and relationships between employer-sponsored benefits, health of the population, and business performance. We plan to publish 12-15 peer-reviewed articles including research, analyses, and commentaries from leading researchers and scholars, analysts, industry experts, and health and health care stakeholders.
In filling out the issue, we are particularly interested in empirical analyses that will shed light on specific dimensions of work and health, broadly considered. We will consider new empirical studies, review/synthesis pieces, case studies and analyses of innovative practices and approaches in the public and private sectors. We are also interested in global learning, and encourage authors to submit work presenting lessons from abroad.
We invite all interested authors to submit abstracts for consideration for this issue. Editors will review the abstracts and, for those that best fit our vision and goals for the issue, invite authors to submit full papers for consideration for the issue.
In order to be considered, abstracts must be submitted via our online submission portal by 11:59PM Eastern time, June 6, 2016. We regret that we will not be able to consider any abstracts submitted after that date.
Abstract submissions should not exceed 500 words. Please consult our online guidelines for additional formatting instructions and answers to frequently asked questions.
We thank you for your time and consideration. Please feel free to pass this invitation along to colleagues who might be interested, as well.
