Health Affairs’ Impact Factor Reaches 5, Ranking First Among Health Policy Journals

According to Thomson Reuters' recently released 2015 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Health Affairs' reached its highest ever Impact Factor: 5.23. The journal also earned No. 1 rankings in both the Healthcare Sciences and Services and the Health Policy and Services categories.

Health Affairs continues to hold the No. 1 spot in Eigenfactor score in both categories.

Journal Citation Reports critically evaluates leading journals by compiling articles' cited references to measure research influence and impact at the journal and category levels, available in Science and Social Sciences editions.

"We are pleased that our impact factor has risen dramatically for the second consecutive year," said Alan Weil, Health Affairs' editor-in-chief. "Thanks to the high-quality, policy-relevant research of our authors, and the outstanding efforts of our peer reviewers and staff, Health Affairs continues to expand its reach and influence, in the United States and around the world."
