Snow Cone Slime

Brr…. Its cold outside which is why we decided to keep the fun indoors with this homemade Snow Cone Slime!

Making this snow cone slime reminds us about our favorite days in Summer.

Those nights we'd walk down to the nearest snow cone shack as a family and get all sugared up.

While we cannot wait to make more fun memories in the warmer months, we will stick to making ooey, gooey memories with slime like this!

Homemade Snow Cone Slime

Here's what you'll need to make snow cone slime:

  • 1 5 oz. Bottle Clear Glue
  • 1 1/2 tsp liquid starch
  • 2 cups polypropylene plastic pellets or clear beads
  • Food coloring
  • Food extract (optional)

How to make snow cone slime:

First, mix the glue and starch in a small bowl very gently. You don't want to cause too many bubbles as you want the mixture to be clear.

Next, if you plan to color your slime, you'll want to separate your slime into 3 different bowls. We used red, blue and yellow food coloring for ours.

Now, add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix well. You should now have 3 separately dyed slime colors.

Now it's time to add the plastic pellets. Add 1/4 at a time to each bowl and mix well with your hands.

The slime will eventually turn crackly and it will be harder to add more pellets. That's when you know it is ready for play!

You can mix the colors together or add them in a snow cone container and watch the colors naturally mix together!

This slime is loads of fun!
