Essential Oils to Help Moms Relax
Get Better Sleep
Getting a good night’s sleep is one of the most important parts of a busy mom’s day. How else can you be expected to get through all the craziness of the day? This is when your body heals and refreshes itself, but daily stress and worrying about tomorrow’s to-do list can make it difficult to relax. Lavender is great for sleep, as is cedarwood and other calming oils.
Support a Healthy Immune System
Who will take care of Mom when she gets sick? Some essential oils that can help improve your immune system and reduce the chances of you getting sick are great for a nighttime relaxation ritual. Consider thieves vitality or also valor, peppermint, or lemon for immune health.
Massage
When you’re really busy and stress piles up, you might start to feel the tension in your neck. A tired or stressed neck will be sore and it might feel like your head weighs a hundred pounds, making it hard to hold it up. You could make a relaxing massage oil from carrier oil, 1-2 drops of peppermint, and 1-2 drops of lavender. Bonus points if you can lie down and relax and let someone else massage it in for you!
Managing Stress
I think that every mom on Earth can agree that being a mother is stressful at times. Stress isn’t healthy though and in order to be the best parent we can be we need to take control of our stress levels ourselves. Diffuse Stress Away oil or place a few drops on your wrists and behind your ears when you feel yourself becoming tense.
Motherhood is a big job. You work hard all day and essential oils can help moms relax in a big way. This will help you manage occasional, daily stress and have more energy when you start your new day tomorrow.
