Sometimes Money Does Buy Happiness

Sometimes Money Does Buy Happiness Featured

You know that old saying “Money doesn’t buy happiness”? While some part of me agrees, another part of me begs to differ. Yes, the happiest things in the world are free like your kids, love, laughter, etc. However, you do need money to survive and live a good life which in return provides happiness. So essentially, you kind of do need it and Sometimes Money Does Buy Happiness which is why today we are partnering with SunTrust to share something exciting that might just bring a little more money and happiness into your life!

Unfortunately, for many of us, we cannot get enough money in the sense that we can’t get ahead on our finances. Whether it’s that mortgage bill every month, student loans, or another unforeseen debt that is lingering over our heads, it’s rough to make ends meet. Which makes having that extra “play money” out of the question.

Living a life filled with love, laughter, and joy sometimes relies on the type of life we are living. If it’s a depressed, overworked, sad, and unfit life we are typically unhappy. If we have even small victories or small things that show our hard work does indeed pay off, we are more positive and happy with our surroundings. It’s not about being greedy with money; it’s about being grateful.

Kids are a great example of this. If you raise them right and teach them to understand that money is earned, they will appreciate it. Kids are usually always happy when they receive their allowance or some sort of financial gift. They get all giddy about being able to buy the toy they’ve seen blasted all over the TV. And when they do, they are ecstatic! Sometimes Money Does Buy Happiness2

So why should it be any different for adults? It shouldn’t!

Now you probably thinking that everything I’ve said to this point sounds great and all but the problem is, getting more money or being able to use more of the money you already have, right?

While we have many great articles on budgeting and saving money, it can also be great to be given the opportunity to WIN money to cover your bills for a year!

Yes, you read that correctly…

Picture this, you enter a sweepstakes and win a year’s worth of money to cover your loan payments, how would this change your life?

For me, it would change my life for the better. It would allow me to focus hard on paying off mine and my husband’s student loans. It would also allow us to travel more and save more towards our kids’ college savings plans (we started when they were born).

Making Your Dream A Reality

You have the chance to make that dream of reliving financial stress for a year, a reality. SunTrust launched the Year onUp Sweepstakes. Beginning June 29 through August 31, 2016, SunTrust’s #onUpSweepstakes will give people a chance to win the amount of their monthly mortgage, auto or student loan payments—for a year!

All you have to do is head to the SunTrust Sweepstakes site here and fill out the short form. You will then be entered to win!

If you won, what would you be able to do with your life for a year? How would it change your life?
