Truffula Tree Bookmarks

We are continuing on with our Dr. Seuss themed crafts in time for Dr. Seuss Day and we made these adorable Truffula Tree Bookmarks!

In case you missed it, check out the Green Eggs Slime we made too!

These bookmarks are super simple to make and kids love them! Our boys had a blast making these and they came in handy as my oldest son has been working on his reading challenge for school this month.

He simply read, and placed one of these into the book as a reminder as to what page he was on.

What You Need to Make Truffula Tree Bookmarks:

How to Make Truffula Tree Bookmarks:

Start by lightly tracing out a truffula tree using your pencil on your colored cardstock. These don't have to be perfect but you want them to look wispy and fluffy!

Next, cut out your truffula trees.

Now, take a black sharpie and carefully trace around the outside of the truffula trees (you can place another piece of cardstock under to avoid getting marker on your table). This will help bring out the detail in the trees!

Now, take your yellow craft stick and color in black lines and color around the edges of the craft stick making a black outline.

Finally, glue your truffula tree tops onto the yellow craft stick and you've now got your very own Truffula Tree Bookmark.
