LEGO Fortnite Medkit Bandage Box

With Fortnite being all my kids talk about, we decided it was time to do a Fortnite themed craft.

This LEGO Fortnite Medkit Bandage Box is a perfect craft to get your kids away from the TV while allowing them to be creative. Of course, it helps that it does involve one of their favorite video games.

This LEGO Fortnite Medkit is such a cool DIY. It uses many pieces you most likely already have lying around your house or stored in your massive LEGO bin. Keep in mind that if you don't own some of these pieces, you can pick up them at your local LEGO store in the self-serve bins or order the individual pieces online.

Want to know what is even cooler about this craft?

It's an actual box that actually opens and closes! We designed it so you could store real bandages inside! You can make this Fortnite Medkit Box and keep it inside your emergency kit or on your counter so when your child needs quick access to a bandage, they can have one!

Cool, right?

How to Build a LEGO Fortnite Medkit Bandage Box:

Start by placing the 6X12 large white on the table. This will be your base for the bottom half of the medkit.

Place the red 6X8 and 2 – 4X8 whites onto the 6×12 from above. You want the red piece in the middle and the white on the sides.

Now you want to place the following bricks around the edges on top of the pieces above: 1X6 red brick, 4 – 1X4 white bricks, and 2 – 1×6 white bricks. Make sure to put the red pieces on top of the red plate and the white pieces on top of the white plates. Leave the other side of the red plate empty for now (this will be where the hinges are attached).

Place the 2 – 1X3 black tiles, 2 – 1X8 black tiles, and 2 – 1X6 black tiles on top of the bricks.

Now we will create the hinge on the back of the bottom piece. Attach the 3 – black 1X2 rocking plate and the 3 – red 1×2 rock bearing pieces onto a 1X6 red plate and attach to the back of your bottom piece. Place a 1X6 black plate onto the top of the hinges. Your bottom piece should now be complete and you should have a smooth surface (this helps so the box opens and closes without sticking).

To build the top, start off with the 4X12 grey plate and you will use this build on top of.

Next, place the 6X8 red plate on the top middle of the grey plate. Now place 2 – 4X8 white plates on the sides.

On top of those pieces, place 2 – 4X6 white plates on top of the 4X8 plates. Place a 6X6 plate on top of the 6X8 red plates.

Now we will create the medical cross on the top using the 2X2 white tile and 4 – 1X2 white tiles. Place them in the shape of a cross in the middle of the red 6X6 plate.

Now, flip the entire top piece over and use 2 – 1X6 red bricks, 4 – 1X4 white bricks, and 2 – 1X6 white bricks along the edges. To make it a uniform look, make sure you add the correct colors on top of each other (example, red on red, white on white).

Next, we will do one layer of black plates using the 2 – 1X12 black plates and 2 -1X8 black plates.

The second layer of black plates will use: 3 – 1X6 black plates and 2 – 1X4 black plates. When you place the second layer on, leave the back row blank (this needs to be empty so you can apply the hinges and allow there to be enough room for the box to open and shut).

Place the two halves together using the hinges and you are done! You should now have a fully functional Fortnite Medkit Bandage Box.
