Parents brace yourselves… this Fortnite Chug Jug Slime is going to be the newest craze in your home!
It's simple to make and it looks totally cool – cool enough, you may just be able to peel your kids away from their games to come play with it!
This slime is ooey, gooey fun. It's strechy, colorful and totally satisfying to play with.
Below, we've included exactly how to make the slime and how to make the chug jug container. These would make great party favors too!
What you need to make Fortnite Chug Jug Slime:
- Clear School Glue
- Neon Green Food Coloring
- Green Food Coloring
- Blue Food Coloring
- Borax Powder
- Silver Washi Tape or Duct Tape
- Large Clear Jar
- Blue Acrylic Paint
- Paint Brush
- Mixing Bowls
How to Make Fortnite Chug Jug Slime:
Start by painting the bottom of your jar and the very top of the lid using the blue acrylic paint and set aside to dry. Don't worry if it's not perfect as you'll be covering up any imperfections with the silver tape later on.
In the meantime, it's time to make the slime!
Start by combining 4 oz of glue, 3-4 drops of blue food coloring and 1/2 cup of warm water. Stir well.
In a separate bowl, add 1 tsp borax and 1 cup of water in a bowl. You want to add the borax solution slowly to the glue as you will only end up using about half of the solution (the other half is used for the green colored slime below). You only want to add until your slime reaches the stretchy consistency you want.
Tip: You want your slime to be firm but not too firm, this will help keep the 2 different colors from mixing.
Next, in another bowl, combine your other 4 oz. of glue, 3 drops of green food coloring, 2 drops of neon green food coloring, the other 1/2 cup of warm water and stir well. Use the remaining borax solution and the same steps above for achieving the correct consistency.
Once your jar paint has dried, you want to use the silver tape to create the outlining of the jar. You want tape to be around the sides and some near the bottom and towards the top of the jar allowing the slime to peak through like a real chug jug from Fortnite.
Once you are done decorating the outside of the jar, add your slime! You want the green slime at the bottom and the blue at the top.
Screw on the lid and if you wish, you can add a silver button made out of a dime wrapped in duct tape (we hot glued this onto the top of the blue part of the lid).
There you have it! Slimey, Fortnite Chug Jug Slime. The jar itself serves as a storage container to use and play with later!
