For this simple craft, we used strips of construction paper to create a woven pattern in the placemats. We secured the strips of paper with homemade sugar glue from Imperial Sugar.
We use their homemade sugar glue recipe for tons of crafts — I like that it a simple recipe that I can use when we want to craft on short notice.
