Berry Green Smoothie Bowl with Pears

Berry Green Smoothie Bowl with Pears 650x975

Kale packs a ton of nutrition, but if green smoothies aren't your thing, try this Berry Green Smoothie Bowl with Pears. It's a blend of strawberries, pears, yogurt and kale, topped with pears, strawberries and blueberries.

I am obsessed with smoothie bowls right now. They are a really great way to get several servings of fruits and vegetables in one sitting – and it tastes great. Did you know kale is a heart healthy vegetable? With tons of fiber, potassium, vitamin C, and B6, there's no denying that it's a super food. The pears and strawberries add a bit of sweetness to the kale smoothie mixture.  The banana and yogurt give the green smoothie bowl a nice creamy texture.

Try this Berry Green Smoothie Bowl, topped with pears, strawberries and blueberries. You'll be surprised how good it is, and it's really good for you!

The crisp pears, and sweet fresh strawberries and blueberries make this green smoothie bowl so very appealing.  One of the things I really love about smoothie bowls, is that you can customize it to your tastes. Swap out the blueberries for blackberries or raspberries if you prefer. For a crunchy element, add nuts or toasted coconut. The options are really endless.

Here's what you need to make a Berry Green Smoothie Bowl with Pears:

  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1 large banana
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled
  • 2 cups kale
  • 1/2 a large pear, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon almond milk
  • Toppings: blueberries, chopped strawberries, 1/2 pear, sliced.

Combine the yogurt, banana, strawberries, kale, pear and almond milk in a blender and process until smooth.

Pour the mixture into a bowl and top with pear slices, fresh blueberries and chopped strawberries.

Serve immediately.

The crisp pears, and sweet fresh strawberries and blueberries make this green smoothie bowl so very appealing.

For an on-the-go option, pour the green smoothie mixture into a small mason jar and secure the lid tightly. Add your toppings to a separate airtight container. When you're ready to eat, shake up the jar to make sure the smoothie mixture is well combined (it will settle a bit). Add your toppings and you're ready to enjoy your green smoothie bowl.  It's an easy healthy snack!
