How to Train Your Dragon Bookmarks

Since we are participating in a reading challenge at my son's school called Battle of The Books, we decided to make How to Train Your Dragon Bookmarks and they turned out totally adorable!

Lately, our kids cannot get enough of How to Train Your Dragon and we can totally see why. It's adorable – especially Toothless, he's my favorite so you know we totally had to make him!

If you have kids into this show right now, you'll want to make these too!

What You'll Need to Make How to Train Your Dragon Bookmarks:

While you're gathering supplies for this craft, don't forget to check out our Dragon Playdough craft.

How to Make How to Train Your Dragon Bookmarks:

Start by painting the craft stick the color you want to match your dragon bookmark. For Toothless, we painted our craft stick black, for Light Fury we painted it white and for Stormfly, we made the craft stick blue.

Once that is painted, set aside to dry.

Next, start by working on the dragon. We started with a black piece of foam and cut out the basic shape for Toothless's face. We did the same for the other two dragons.

Now, cut out details for the dragon using different colors of the foam sheets. We used green for Toothless's eyes, blue for Light Fury and red and yellow for Stormfly.

Once everything is cut and the craft sticks you painted earlier are dry, assemble it all by gluing the pieces onto each other then onto the craft sticks.

Finally, use the Sharpie or black marker to draw in dots into the dragon's eyes.

In the end, you'll have some totally adorable How to Train Your Dragon Bookmarks!
