Seeking Policy Narratives About How Patients Use Evidence To Inform Health Decisions

NM_Feb 2013_blog

The Narrative Matters section of Health Affairs is seeking personal essay submissions that touch on the topic of patient and consumer uses of evidence to inform health decisions. The journal’s April 2016 issue will examine how evidence is generated and used by consumers and patients within the broader framework of health and the health care system.

In conjunction with the theme issue, the Narrative Matters section of the journal is looking for essay submissions on this topic, with the goal of selecting one for publication in the April issue.

Narrative Matters features personal stories about experiences with the health care system and the people in it, using the power of literary nonfiction to highlight an important public policy issue. We’re interested in well-written policy narratives, told as first-person stories.

If you have a policy narrative on the topic of vaccines that you’d like us to consider for publication in the theme issue, send it our way. Please review our submission guidelines for more information. Essays must be submitted by December 4 to be considered for the April 2016 issue.
