Clothespin Pirate Dolls

Clothespin Pirate Dolls

We are a little obsessed with pirates, so my son was really excited to make some clothespin pirate dolls! Now, we just need some treasure — and maybe a parrot — to go with them.

Or we could just make some more pirate crafts kids can make.

Yeah, let's do that.

Here's what you need to make clothespin pirate dolls:

  • Wooden clothespins
  • Black and white felt
  • Red marker
  • Black marker
  • White marker
  • Hot glue gun and glue

Start by gluing the googly eyes onto the face of the clothespin.

Cut the black felt into the shape of a pirate hat. Then cut the white felt to look like a skull. You can draw eyes onto the skull with the black marker. Glue the skull onto the hat and then the hat onto the clothespin.

Draw clothes onto the clothespin using the markers. We added cutoff pants, vests, mustaches, and shirts. I even cut an eyepatch from the black felt and glued it onto one of our dolls. My son thought that was awesome, and wanted an eyepatch of his own.

Easy, right? The best part is that your imagination is your only limit.

Now that you've got the wooden clothespins out, why not make this super cute bee craft?
