No-Mess Finger Painting

No-Mess Finger Painting is a great activity for when you want to keep kids busy without getting out a ton of supplies. Plus, it’s really fun — my preschooler can spend hours just playing in the paint!

My son doesn’t like to get paint on his hands, so this is the perfect activity for him. We practice tracing letters, drawing shapes, and just squishing in the paint. He loves it!

You can even make a batch of homemade finger paint to use with this project.

No-Mess Finger Painting

Here’s what you need for No-Mess Finger Painting:
Gallon-sized Ziploc bag
Finger paints
Poster board

Cut the poster board to fit just inside the Ziploc bag. Place it inside, then add different colors of finger paint into the bag.

It’s best if the finger paint is added in different areas of the bag. Press out the air and seal the bag.

Set on a table, and it’s ready for your child to paint! They can squish the paint with their fingers or draw shapes or write into the paint. When they’re done painting, you can remove the paper and allow it to dry, or just throw the whole bag away for the cleanest project ever!

Lavender Scented Teddy Bears

One of the most important ways I have used essential oils in my home is helping my kids rest and fall asleep. People have been using lavender for this purpose for a long time and is the one thing that had my hooked.

You can use lavender for sleep in many ways – we’ve made a pillow spray and bath melts with it – but a new fun way I just found is scenting my kids teddy bears. They snuggle with them every night and always go to bed with them, so what better place to add oils?

Lavender Scented Teddy Bears

All you need to do is place 3-5 drops of Lavender (or a lavender blend like Unwind) on your kids teddy bear. I usually put a couple on the body, one on the head and one on each foot.

This is one of those things that is so simple and brilliant you can’t believe you hadn’t thought of it sooner!

My kids are loving this and like everything I do with lavender, it’s really helping them fall asleep.
